Our journey started in November 2004 with the goal of exploring this great country for three years and then settling down again. In the fall of 2006 Scenic Route magazine wrote a story about our CoolJourney. You can read the magazine article here.
In November 2007 we reached the end of our initial three year journey. Anticipating this approaching milestone, in March 2007 we began to review our lifestyle again. We are happy to report that we still love it and decided to continue fulltiming for at least 4 more years. At the same time we decided to upgrade our moving home and purchased a new 2007 Monaco Diplomat 40 PDQ motorhome. A strong motivation to change from a 5th wheel trailer to a Motorhome was that we could get a small car which would make our day-to-day travels more pleasant than driving the big truck. Therefore, we also bought a new 2007 Honda CR-V (named "Kermit" because it will be "toad").
