We Begin Our Life On Wheels...

So, we loaded up our "dream home", put Chad in the cat cage and slowly pulled away.  First stop - weigh in.  Not ONLY us, the entire rig.  Conclusion:  Oh my!  We need to lose weight.

Then off to CalExpo RV Park.  The RV Park itself is pretty much a parking lot.  However - location, location, location.  CalExpo is adjacent to the American River Bike Trail, walking distance from dozens of restaurants, near Arden Fair Mall and other shopping opportunities and near public transit.  The only negative thing about CalExpo RV Park is the laundry facilities.  Since there are excellent facilities nearby, it wasn't a major issue.

Our first day was off-loading all the "we can't live without this" extras, because they added to the overall weight.  These items became part of the estate sale scheduled for the following weekend.

We also tried to convince Chad that he likes the leash and harness.  He wasn't going for it.  We met other folks at CalExpo traveling with cats.  We pointed out the window and tried to explain how happy these kitties were seeing America.  He didn't buy it.

During the two weeks we spent at CalExpo Bill concluded his career with the State of California with all the farewell events, I witnessed another birthday that my friends were much more willing to recognize than I was (thank you), the estate sale took place and final house cleaning was completed, escrow closed and we experienced a major change of life style.

Then we moved on...
