Sacramento, CA - Nov. 2005
Bill visited with his mother in Kelseyville.  We had nice lunch at  a local restaurant.
We had dinner with our good friends Sue and Mickey.
Kathy and Paul invited us to their house for dinner.  Toni and Dan were able to join us too!
Natalie and Bob treated us to an elegant brunch at their beautiful home. Claire joined us too.
Sally and Susan on the bluff at Point Reyes
Sally and Claire - post picnic water fight.
Bodega Bay sunset from our weekend home.
Games were the order of the day - and night.
Sam and Jan enjoying a Bodega Bay sunrise.
Is that a smoothie Roelina is pouring or ….?
We now photograph wild turkeys, rather than drinking it.
The weekend was sweet as nectar.
Ginger and Chris keep their boat at the Grand Marina in Alameda.
This is Ginger and Chris' new LARGE sailboat. It is quite comfortable.
Graphics are their specialty and here is a sampling of their work.
Here is a look into the galley and sleeping area. Much more roomy than their previous boats.
Ahoy matey!  Susan is ready to sail!
This is one of the sailboats Ginger and Chris used to own. Still providing a good time to its new owners.
Boy those cargo ships are BIG when you get close to them.  This one is almost ready to go.
What a cutie!
Two cuties!!
Check out our first online movie.  It is short, but fun.
We had a picture perfect day and the Golden Gate was a fabulous sight.
We sailed OUTSIDE of the gate for the first time. Exciting and quite a treat.
The day was made more perfect by the visit of some porpoises.
Did I say that the Golden Gate was a stunning sight?  WOW!
We sailed by a pod of racing sailboats.
Our excellent sailing hosts.  Thanks for the great day Ginger and Chris!!
As we crossed the Bay Bridge it was clear the day was going to be a stunner in SF!
Alcatraz beckons us.  We will visit it later in the day.
While waiting to connect with Amanda we browsed  the shops in the Ferry Building.
The tall buildings provided a magnificent backdrop.
Wish we had more pictures of all of the old trolley cars. They were quite fun to see.
We had lunch with Amanda at Fisherman's Grotto #9. It is one of Bill's favorites (great sourdough bread!!)
While waiting for his sourdough, Bill tries to learn how to use his new camera.
The camera takes movies!  Here is a cute one that caught Amanda off guard.
Susan and Amanda wait for the Segway tour.  Apparently, Amanda had a tough night.
Bill and his honey.
This is what it was all about.
Susan learns how to control the Segway. Our tour guide Carla helps her.
Amanda says, "Uncle Bill could you NOT reprogram the Seqway computer to go faster?!"
The trippin' trio strut their Segway stuff.
Amanda strikes a pose with the Golden Gate in the background.
Amanda demonstrates her new Segway skills and Susan is an interluder.

Visits with family and friends
After a couple of hours of Segway touring we gave them a well deserved rest.
Oh, and we rested too.  This is tough duty... naahhh!
After the Segway tour we hoofed it over to take the boat to Alcatraz.
The sea lions were in their regular repose at Pier 39.  They entertained us while we waited for the boat.
Amanda hangs while we waited to board the boat.
I only have eyes for Yoooouuuuuuu! Notice the reflection in Susan's sunglasses.
Alcatraz looms as we approach it.
The evening tour is the only one that circles the island before docking.
The day was full of gorgeous views like this.
One of the old buildings upon entering the prison area.
The guards kept a watchful eye on things from here when Alcatraz was in operation.
Interesting angles are created when buildings are constructed on an island with steep slopes.
Seagulls in the evening light.  (Amanda took this picture.)
Moon over the bay looking east.
A typical cell block.
If being in the cell is an inmate, are these outmates?  Whadda pair!
This is the notorious criminal "Too Tall Tourist". He tended to bang his head a lot in here.
The cells were not a happy place.
The lighthouse at night with the moon peaking out beside of it.
The city gave us one last spectacular view before we left. Thanks for the great day Amanda!
