Lake of the Ozarks, MO
As the journal explains, we had a heck of a time getting into a campsite at this state park.
Our preferred location would have been along the lake, but no joy. But the lake was within view.
We got this picture of the lake during one of our morning walks.
In the evening, the shy deer would come out of the woods to feed.
At Ha Ha Tonka SP we visited the ruins of a former stone mansion.
The mansion offered the photographer an opportunity for some more creative shots. Bear with us.
It would have been nice if there was more sun.
In the distance you can see the water tower that provided water to the mansion and housed staff.
Views from the mansion were wonderful.
This is another view from the mansion. This is part of the Lake of the Ozarks.
You can see the springs from the mansion that provided their water.
We explored the springs along the beautiful boardwalk and stairs.
