OK, so we were really in Hawaii. Did we fool you?
We'd been in the desert so long our trusty steed sprouted its own Saguaro.
19th Century one-room schoolhouse in Wickenburg, now a cultural center.
We were tempted to fish for sand dabs in the Hassayampa River, but as you can see by the sign it was forbidden.
Wickenburg did not have a jail so prisoners were chained to this tree. Nice! An open air prison.
We encountered very little traffic when we geocached via bikes on Saddle Mt.
Bill finds a treasure in the rugged mountains.
The next cache was way over there - over hill and dale.
One of these sweet fuzzy little guys (aka, The Evil Impalers) grabbed Bill ankle and wouldn't let go.
The desert landscape can be quite captivating.
A predator should think twice about going after these fellows and their nestlings. It could be a prickly experience.
