Sacramento, CA (mostly family stuff)
We stayed at Claire's house on our trip to Sacramento.  Her cats gave Susan a much needed "cat fix".
Susan visited Ironstone Winery with her stepmom Winnie.
Ironstone is a beautiful place anytime, but particularly in the spring.
Old gold mining equipment and miner's shack.
Winnie is explaining the operation of the large bell, "You see, first it dings, then it dongs."
Judy, Tamala and Susan.  We forgot our camera and Tamala's husband Jim took this pic for us.
While in Sac we visited our good friends ML and Joyce.  ML exercises one of their horses.
After the ride ML hoses down the horse.  I don't know who enjoys it more ML or the horse!
Taking my Mom to the coast was the main reason for our trip. We are ready to go!
First stop, the Tides Restaurant in Bodega Bay.
Mom says, "WOW, look at those scallops!! There huge!".  Yumm.
After a big lunch we went to nearby Doran Beach to walk a bit and inhale the fresh sea air.
My sister Ginger, with my mother and, of course me.  Mom's tickled pink!
The weather was great and folks were having a good time at the beach.
Chris (Ginger's husband), Ginger, Mom, Bambi and Bill.  Say cheese!
Susan takes Bambi out for his first beach experience.
Regular breezes at Bodega Bay make flying flags and pennants a favorite activity.
More sittin' and lookin'.  Just what Mom wanted.
Susan helped make it a wonderful day with all of her help and support.  Thanks!!
Some pics from the car as we moved up the coast.
Mom has trouble walking very far, so she enjoyed using her binoculars to see the ocean.
Another ocean scene.
Sun is starting to set on a great day.
Bambi feels like we all do after a long day in the car.  Happy 80th birthday Mom!
