On the road to Tucson...
The Enchanted Trails RV Park had an interesting collection of old cars and RVs.
It wasn't much of an RV park and it was right next to the freeway, but the cars/RVs were fun.
We visited the Petroglyph National Monument while in town.
A trail with many petroglyphs winds around this mountain and takes you to the top for a great view.
Petroglyphs.
Is that a space ship going into the ground? The creature next to it sure looks alien.
I think this is Mabel and Bart at their Saturday BBQ.
Wild imagination or aliens?  You decide.
The walk up the mountain at Petroglyph NM gave us a nice view of Albuquerque.
San Felipe de Nari Church in Albuquerque was built in 1793 and is still in operation.
A wedding or some event was taking place in the Old Town Plaza.
The Nob Hill area on Route 66 had some very funky, eclectic places.
While in Denver we parked the rig at Dakota Ridge RV Park in Golden.
Susan and Linda, her sister, visited the recently opened Denver Art Museum.
Susan finds a shady spot.
The area around the Denver Art Museum is very - uh - artsy.
This is the sunset from our campground in Elephant Butte.
At the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge Susan looks for Big Bird.
Well, there it is.  Elephant Butte, right there in the water. Not impressed? Neither were we.
Elephant Butte may not have been much but the Bosque del Apache NWR was spectacular.
Sandhill Cranes come here by the thousands.
Just a nice bush with good light.
This is a viewing area where we watched the flocks of birds come in for the night.
You can just see the river of birds in the sky in the distance.  There were many more too.
More of the flocks of snow geese streaming in.
The light and the mountains were inspiring on our visit.
Don't ya just love it?  Wow.
Some late arriving Sandhill Cranes.  They are noisy as they try to find their clan.
