Mount Shasta, CA
Upon our arrival in the Mt. Shasta area the mountain looked like it was losing its snow.
By the time we left about 2 weeks later it was once again covered in snow.
Somewhere you can just hear a wolf howling at the moon.
Intruder alert!! Some friendly deer cruised through camp every other day or so.
This is the spillway from Lake Siskiyou. It flows into Box Canyon and is the start of the Sacramento River.
The upper Sacramento River was flowing pretty fast from the snow melt and recent rains. Fishing was tough.
This is the infamous Cantara Loop where pesticides were spilled into the river from a train wreck in July 1991.

This is the popular fishing area on Hat Creek called the Powerhouse riffle.

This is the ever green Lake McCloud.
Bill carefully plies the waterway with his imitation bugs. Here fishy, fishy.

This bridge takes you across the McCloud and onto a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail.
