Santee, CA
Our Santee campsite was nice, but when it rained it was a bit of a lake.
Santee Lakes is a beautiful county park emphasizing water and the animals that live in or near water.

A variety of egrets inhabit the lakes.

Beautiful Balboa Park, home to 15 museums, gardens, restaurants and cultural centers.
Botanical Building and Lily Pond built for the 1915-16 Exposition.
Amanda is totally impressed with the flower Susan is pointing out.
Botanical Building's primary exhibits are orchids.

Mingei International Museum of arts and crafts.  Highly recommneded.
The Mingei exhibits folk art from around the world.
