Seattle, WA
It started out to be a cloudy day on our trip across Puget Sound on the Bainbridge Ferry.
Obviously, the skies cleared.  We enjoyed our tour of the Space Needle.
First stop was to have lunch at the top of the Needle. The views were magnificent.
The meal was great and we got this fun dessert for telling them so.
After lunch we strolled around the viewing area of the Space Needle.
Looking towards the north is Lake Washington. Gotta love these views!
From the Space Needle we took the aging Monorail to downtown Seattle.
Our main destination in downtown Seattle was Pike's Public Market.
Even though we were here on a Monday, the market was jammed with tourists and I suppose a few locals.
While prices weren't always the best, the displays of fruit and vegetables were great.
Of course, seafood was plentiful and the vendors urged you often to buy their goods.
No visit to Pike's Market would be complete without a visit to the fish tossing stall.  What a kick!
Across the street from the market are a variety of shops including this cheese making operation.
Alas, the day had to come to an end.  We were weary, but obviously happy.
We were treated to a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier over a portion of the Seattle metro area.
As Aaahnold would say, "We'll be back!".  We visited Seattle again later in August when we stayed in Bothell.
