Mt. St. Helens, WA
Mt. St. Helens RV Park was OK, but the spaces were tight and almost too short for our MH.
This is the visitor center at Mt. St. Helens. It is very nicely done with a great view of the mtn.
Inside the visitor center is an exhibit of how large trees were literally snapped off.
Although it was a hazy day you can see the mountain and its gaping hole.
This was a VERY narrow (12"-18") trail with steep dropoffs. Susan chose to stay behind.
At the end of the trail you could see Spirit Lake with thousands of trees still floating in it.
After I returned from my near-death experience hike, another hiker took our picture.
Mt. St. Helens has a long way to go to recover, but you can see nature here starting to work its magic.
