China: Xi'an
Terracotta Soldiers were created 2,200 years ago to guard the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi
This approximately 7,000 soldier army is impressive. Sadly thieir original colors were lost after excavation.
This is a staging area where the soldiers are rehabilitated. Work has all but stopped on this project.
This is command central for the Terracotta Army. The figures depict the higher ranking officers.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652 AD during the Tang Dynasty.
The Buddhist temple is still used by followers. Here they light incense.

Not all of our meals were so extravagantly laid out, but this one was quite impressive.

We had a Dumpling Dinner and a colorful Tang Dynasty Cultural Show.
During our dinner this lady played this somewhat unusual instrument.
The show was quite colorful and the performers very talented.
