Lanier Campground was a run-down little campground that didn't live up to its billing.
However, it was close to the water and Susan got a great picture of this egret.

We visited Wilmington. On the left is the New Hanover Courthouse and the annex is on the right.
Wilmington has a nice riverfront walkway. Across the river is the Battleship North Carolina.
There are many restaurants and activities along the Cape Fear Riverfront walkway.
This is the headquarters of the Cape Lookout National Seashore.
On the ferry boat ride to Cape Lookout we saw wild horses on one of the islands.
