Williamsburg, VA
We stayed at Anvil RV Park.  By the time we left we had a nice thick gooey layer of leaves on our roof.
The highlight of our stay was Colonial Williamsburg. This is a view of the Governor's Palace.
Bruton Parish Church where many Founding Fathers, including Thomas Jefferson, worshiped.
The Geddy House and a little further down is the Mary Dickinson Store.
Whoaaa!  That's an explosion of color!
The Courthouse for the James City County Court and the Williamsburg Hustings Court.
Inside the courthouse we are informed of how court proceedings would have been handled.
Across from the courthouse is the Magazine where a cache of arms and ammunition were stored.
All nice, neat and tidy.
Williamsburg was the political center of Virginia and this was the Capitol building.
A room where justice was dispensed.
We were told that many decisions affecting Virginia's affairs were made here.
Meanwhile, back at the Governor's Palace more guns were stored.  These were more for show though.
A bedroom in the palace.
This is a small desk.  Guess they didn't have too much paperwork to handle.
This room was used for multiple purposes including meals.
The Palace chef worked hard to create tasty calories.
Re-enactments were common and here they play some music outside of the King's Arms Tavern.
These women discussed their confusion as to why they couldn't be free like the colonists wanted to be.
In another re-enactment the town's newspaper publisher related the events of the day.
