Miami, FL
One of our first activities in the area was to tour the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.  Very nice.
Behind Susan is a large stone barge moored on the bay side of the estate.
While we couldn't take pictures inside the estate, the grounds were beautiful too.
One day we rode our bikes along Key Biscayne.  Here is one of the many inviting white sand picnic areas.
Of course, if there is a lighthouse, we are there. This is the Key Biscayne lighthouse.
Susan is taking a picture of me...
... taking a picture of her.  Corny, I know, but cute nonetheless.
This and the next three pictures are taken from the top of the lighthouse.
We were told these buildings are no longer inhabited, but might have been used by shrimpers?
Another view of the high rises.
People out enjoying the beach at Key Biscayne.
Later in the day, we drove to a point where we could get a picture of Miami.
One day we visited the popular South Beach (or SoBe) area.  Lots of beautiful people looking to be seen here.
Our friend Jay explains to Bill why he needs the latest electronic marvel.  As if I needed more ideas!  ;-)
We toured SoBe with Jay and took in the sights.  Of course, the Super Bowl has an influence here.
SoBe's architecture is strongly influenced by the art deco style.
Of course, SoBe has its share of kitschy style too.
The Versace Mansion is now a pricey hotel in SoBe. Rooms start at $2,100/night.  This picture was free.
Even the U.S. Post Office looks more stylish in SoBe.
Anyone want to buy a condo?  They probably have some nice ones for a million $$ or so.
